Undertaking on Costs

An undertaking on costs is an undertaking by one person to pay the costs of another.

An undertaking on costs is legally-enforceable on the person concerned so normally an undertaking on costs would not be forthcoming until the person giving the undertaking is in funds to meet the obligation.
